Contactless IC card, also called RF card, came into being in early 1990s. It caused widely attention just when it appeared because of its merits compared with magnetic stripe card or contact type IC card. Its application developed rapidly from then on.
A contactless IC card consists a module and antenna for induction, which are sealed completely inside PVC or PETG without exposure to air. The reading-writing operation of contactless IC card is realized with a reader which emits radio wave. A contactless IC card itself is passive, and when reader operates, the signal emitted is composed with two parts: one is for power transfer, causing L/C resonance, hence the chip is able to work, another is used as data carrier, controlling info revision and storage, and return them back to reader.
The reading and writing system of contactless IC card is simplified largely both in hardware structure and operation process. Resort to advanced management software the reading and writing operation is extremely simple without contacting with reader. |
